Launch experiences are designed to be comprehensive support for using the IM K-12 Math Curriculum and are separated by grade bands to differentiate content. These learning experiences begin as in-person workshops in year 1 to ensure understanding and alignment to support a successful launch for both teachers and leaders across the district. In year 2 and 3 of implementation, teachers participate in collaborative virtual workshop series to deepen their knowledge of the curriculum and to have a space to work together on improving practice.
Launch Workshop Outcome:I can successfully launch the curriculum by navigating the resources, understanding the structure, and facilitating problem-based activities learning.

In year 1 of implementation, educators separate by grade bands and engage with workshops designed to support all educators to take ownership in a successful launch of the IM K-12 Math Curriculum. In year 2 and 3, educators reflect on the successes of the previous year and participate in additional workshops to better understand and utilize the curriculum. Leaders also work with an executive coach to learn how to support teachers during curriculum adoption and planning.

Year 2-3
Leaders can better support teachers using the IM K-12 Math Curriculum when they know what positive outcomes look like in the classroom and can make informed, data-driven decisions about their professional learning programs. Learning Walks are a guided non-evaluative experience that helps leaders observe math classrooms, identify trends in practice, and use that information to offer their teachers personalized support.
Learning Walk Cycle | In-Person
Leaders can identify evidence of the target outcomes in the classroom and in student learning.
In this phase, Virtual Workshop options are divided into three areas of focus to provide differentiated support for teachers based on the development opportunities leaders identified in the Assess Progress stage. Virtual Workshops are a space for teachers to collaborate, identify specific outcomes to work towards, and create actionable plans for success in the classroom. Teachers will also be matched with an online curriculum coach in order to plan lessons, try strategies, and measure the impact for students.
